The aim of this project was to create a small robot that could be controlled remotely and that would make it possible to pick up dangerous and hardly biodegradable objects present on the freeway, and that would also be safe for the people in charge of picking up these types of objects.

To do this, the R2OA must disrupt road traffic as little as possible and pick up the disruptive object with a mechanical grab in the shortest possible time. To carry out this project, we had access to a chassis, a robotic arm and an Arduino microcontroller. A man-machine interface has been created on the computer with the software Processing.

I mainly dealt with the man-machine interface and wireless transmission with XBee.

However, I was also involved in the merging of the various components in the system, in particular for the coding on the Arduino board.

In fact, dealing with everything relating to the data sent into the system, I also had to think about transforming the different values sent from the computer to the microcontroller and acquiring them so that the other components could act accordingly.
